THERE WILL B SPEECHES, THERE WILL B OUTCRY, BUT THERE WILL B NO GUN CONTROL

With the most recent school shootings in Florida and Michigan, gun control has once again become a hot topic. The rallys and outcries however will be all for naught.

Put simply, things won’t change because those in charge have no incentive to change. Expecting gun control to begin is like expecting racism to end. Yes, President Trump is pushing for a ban of bump stocks, devices that make it easier to fire rounds rapidly, but gun laws for the most part will remain as they are.

There will be a few tweaks here and there and the moving around of some words but GUN CONTROL WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

Think about racism and everything that was done in the name of equality from the Civil Rights Acts to Brown v. Board of Ed. As important as those enactments were, systemic racism is still an issue to this day.

Survivors of these recent massacres, many of whom are white, will find themselves in a bit of a role reversal. They will find their pain being pardoned, their trauma being trolled and their stories subject to scrutiny. In other words, they will experience some of what it’s like to be black in America.

Lets welcome them to the club.
